
WAREHOUSE COORDINATOR
Warehouse Coordinator
Department: Supply Chain / Logistics
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Location: Port Harcourt
Job Summary
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials. The role ensures proper inventory control, compliance with company procedures, and alignment with project requirements, particularly in high-demand EPC or oil & gas environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory & Stock Management

Coordinate receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and equipment.

Maintain accurate inventory records (manual and/or ERP system).

Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests.
-
Conduct periodic stock counts and reconciliation.
-
Track critical materials to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
2. Warehouse Operations
-
Supervise loading and unloading of goods.
-
Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and storage in line with safety standards.

Coordinate timely issuance and dispatch of materials to project sites.
-
Optimize warehouse space utilization.
3. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain records of goods received (GRN), issued (GIN), and returned materials.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and warehouse reports.

Ensure all documentation complies with audit and company standards.
4. Coordination & Communication
-
Liaise with procurement, logistics, and project teams on material requirements.

Coordinate with vendors and transporters for deliveries.
-
Support project teams with material tracking and availability updates.
5. Compliance & Safety
-
Ensure adherence to HSE policies and warehouse safety procedures.
-
Enforce proper handling of hazardous or sensitive materials.
-
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
6. Team Support
-
Supervise storekeepers and warehouse assistants.
-
Provide guidance on proper material handling and documentation.
-
Support training and onboarding of warehouse staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.

3–6 years of warehouse/logistics experience (preferably in EPC, construction, or oil & gas).

Proficiency in inventory management systems / ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and stock control.
-
Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure in site/project environments.
