HSE Engineer
Department/Division: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Reports To:HSE Manager
Job Summary
To implement, monitor, and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and standards on projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and safe execution of all activities.
Key Responsibilities

· Develop and implement HSE plans, procedures, and programs for assigned projects

· Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance

· Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe acts, recommending corrective actions
-
· Provide HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for project personnel

· Monitor and report HSE performance, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards
-
· Support the preparation of HSE reports for management and clients
-
· Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all project activities
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Safety, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering
-
NYSC Discharge Certificate.
Professional Certifications & Licenses
-
NEBOSH IGC / OSHA / ISO 45001 / IOSH certification (mandatory or advantage)
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years experience in HSE engineering on EPC or construction projects

Working Conditions
-
Active construction site environment (Onshore/Offshore).

Exposure to weather elements.
