SCAFFOLDING FOREMAN

Department/Division:Civil / Access

Reports To: Scaffolding Supervisor

Job Summary

The Scaffolding Foreman leads a gang of scaffolders to erect and dismantle scaffolds safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily activities of the scaffolding crew.

  • Ensure ground stability before erection begins.

  • Verify all components (tubes, couplers, boards) are defect-free.

  • Ensure crew uses fall arrest systems (harnesses) 100% of the time.

  • Update Scafftags daily.

  • Manage housekeeping of scaffolding materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Trade Test / NABTEB.

Professional Certifications & Licenses

  • CITB/CISRS Part 2 or Advanced.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Knot tying and rope work.

  • Reading scaffolding drawings.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Adherence to erection schedule.

  • Safety compliance of the gang.

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor, heights.

Physical Requirements

  • Strong upper body strength.
