Department/Division: Corrosion Control

Reports To:Coating Foreman

Job Summary

Blasters & Painters perform surface preparation via abrasive blasting and apply industrial coatings to steel structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate blasting equipment to remove rust/old paint.

• Clean surfaces using power tools or solvents.

• Mix paints according to manufacturer instructions.

• Apply coatings using brush, roller, or airless spray guns.

• Maintain cleaning of spray equipment.

Required Qualifications

• SSCE/WAEC.

• Trade Test I, II, III.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in spray gun handling.

• Knowledge of pot life and induction times.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Uniformity of coating thickness.

• Safety adherence.

Working Conditions

• Requires wearing full protective hoods and suits.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to hold high-pressure blast hoses.
