QUALITY INSPECTORS (DISCIPLINE) - PIPING/MECH/STRUCTURAL

Job Summary
Quality Inspectors verify that construction and fabrication activities meet project specifications, codes, and standards. They are the primary authority for accepting or rejecting work.
Key Responsibilities
-
Perform visual inspections of welds, fit-ups, and installations.

Witness NDT (RT, UT, MT, PT) and review results.

Verify material traceability (Heat numbers).

Monitor hydro-tests and pneumatic tests.
-
Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for defective work.
-
Compile Final Documentation Dossiers (As-built data).
-
Ensure compliance with ITP (Inspection and Test Plan).
Required Qualifications
-
HND/B.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Metallurgical).
Professional Certifications & Licenses
-
CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CWI.
-
ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, PT.
-
COREN (added advantage).
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum 7 years in QA/QC roles.
Technical Skills & Competencies
-
Deep knowledge of ASME, API, and AWS codes.

Report writing skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
-
Detection rate of defects.
-
Timely closure of NCRs.
Working Conditions
-
Site and office.
Physical Requirements
-
Accessing difficult areas for inspection.
