Reports To:Rigging Foreman

Job Summary

Riggers attach loads to lifting equipment using slings, shackles, and chains ensuring safe movement of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Select gear (slings, shackles) as directed by Foreman.

• Attach loads to crane hooks safely.

• Use tag lines to control load rotation.

• Properly store rigging gear after use.

• Watch for overhead obstructions.

Required Qualifications

• SSCE/WAEC.

• Trade Test I, II, III.

Professional Certifications & Licenses

• Basic Rigger Training (OPITO Level 1 desirable).

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Knot tying.

• Team coordination.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Adherence to safety instructions.

Working Conditions

• Outdoors, hazardous environment.

Physical Requirements

• Heavy lifting and pulling.
