RIGGING FOREMAN

Department/Division:Lifting & Hoisting

Reports To:Rigging Supervisor

Job Summary

The Rigging Foreman leads the rigging crew during lifting operations, communicating signals to operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct riggers in attaching loads.

• Act as the primary Banksman/Signaller for the crane operator.

• Verify load balance before full lift.

• Ensure exclusion zones (barricades) are established.

• Inspect rigging tackle before daily use.

Required Qualifications

• Trade Test / NABTEB.

Professional Certifications & Licenses

• OPITO/LEEA Level 1 or 2.

• Banksman/Slinger Certificate.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6 years experience.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Standard hand signals and radio communication protocols.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Safety of lifts executed.

Working Conditions

• Outdoor site.

Physical Requirements

• Clear voice and distinct hand signaling capability.
